Participate in the Anato-Bee

Whether you're interested in pursuing a career in the anatomical sciences, wanting to get a head start on your knowledge for premedical studies, or just curious to learn more -- we're glad you're here!

Below you can find a guide on how to compete in the Anato-Bee.

Steps to Participate

1. Register for the local competition before 1/13/25 at midnight ET.

Interested high school students should complete their registration with their parent/guardian. You will be contacted by the Anato-Bee team to coordinate your participation within a local chapter.

Student Registration

2. Review the Learning Objectives that will be tested at the Anato-Bee.

Your understanding of these objectives will be tested first at the local competition. Recommended resources for studying can also be found under the Resources and Forms page. We all begin somewhere, so be patient with yourself as you get started!

Learning Objectives

3. Attend free Anato-Bee tutoring sessions and study the provided atlases.

We are here to help you learn. The schedule of tutoring sessions, which are offered bimonthly during Sunday afternoons, can be found under the resources tab or by clicking the button below.

Tutoring Information

4. Compete in your virtual, local Anato-Bee on January 25, 2025.

A coordinator of your local Anato-Bee will provide you with information on how to participate in the qualifying competition. All you need to compete is a computer with internet, microphone, and video access!

5. Compete in the regional Anato-Bee on March 8-9th, 2025.

The top placing students of each local Anato-Bee will be invited to compete in their respective regional weekend competitions. More details regarding the 2025 regional competition format will be provided in the near future.

6. First- and second-place winners will be awarded a stipend for a summer research internship.

At each regional competition, the student with the highest combined point total will receive a $3,000 stipend and students with the next highest score (runner-up) will receive $1,500 to attend a summer program offering experience/training focused in STEMM.
